How to Check Your Classification
Upper Division Free Choice Electives
Here you will find a list of example courses you can take if you have Upper Division Free Choice Electives on your degree plan. This primarily applies to Biology Students with a Biomedical Concentration (area C6 on degree plan), Biomedical Sciences majors (area C6 on degree plan), Microbiology majors (area C4 on degree plan), or Neuroscience majors (area E on degree plan). If you have questions on whether you have the ability to take any free electives, please speak with your advisor.
Major Electives
- For BS in Biological Sciences - Biomedical Concentration OR BS in Biomedical Sciences ONLY
- These courses can be used toward the 19 hours listed under Section B of your degree plan EXCLUDING the ones already required by the degree. For those students on the NEW template, these courses go toward Sections C4 (Upper Division, 3000 or 4000 level only) and C5 (Any level).
