PHASE 1

EXPERIENCING THE BOSQUE: A PERFORMANCE AT RIO BOSQUE WETLANDS PARK

On November 5th, 2022, ETB presented its first large-scale, site-specific public performance at the Rio Bosque Wetlands Park.

Designed like an outdoor installation throughout the park’s Bosque Loop Trail, the performance had over 40 people perform material developed from over a year of public programs and community workshops led by the Somos Agua collective. The audience was invited to move through the trail at their own pace, experiencing the collaboration between the performers, the bosque and its inhabitants. This orchestration invited participants to deepen their relationship to land and water, and encouraged them to become actively involved in restoring and conserving our aquatic ecosystems.

The process of creating and documenting this performance yielded the following outcomes:

  1. The site-specific performance itself
  2. An exhibition documenting the process
  3. A full-length documentary
  4. An immersive theater experience
