Pi Alpha Alpha and MPASA
Phi Alpha Alpha (PAA) Honors Society
Members of our Master of Public Administration student body are eligible to join our Phi Alpha Alpha (PAA) Honors Society, the National Honor Society for Public Affairs and Administration. By joining the honors society, you join with more than 160 chapters of the society, located around the world. The society recognizes students who excel in their scholarship and who commit to the values of integrity, professionalism, and public service.
The requirements for membership are that MPA students have completed at least 50% of the coursework required for the Master’s, that they demonstrate at least a 3.7/4.0 GPA, and that they pay a one-time $50 lifetime membership fee.

The purpose of the MPASA is to support the educational advancement and professional endeavors of MPA students at UTEP. The organization promotes community within the program, and aims to find avenues for service.
