Paulina Lopez is a Regional Technical Specialist and Census Field Manager for the U.S. Census Bureau. She has been with the U.S. Census for three and a half years. Paulina led major initiatives throughout El Paso and the Southwest Region that ensured a full and comprehensive 2020 Census count. Starting in 2018, Paulina worked as a Senior Partnership Specialist serving West Texas and the State of New Mexico to empower local elected officials, non-profit organizations, and trusted voices to plan, develop, and manage local grassroots efforts to ensure a complete and accurate 2020 Census count.

Paulina has also championed the El Paso Community by working as the Director of Policy and Advocacy for the Greater El Paso Chamber of Commerce; also worked with former State Senator Jose Rodriguez as Director of Constituent Services and Binational Affairs, leveraging opportunities for the border region through partnerships with local, state, and federal entities, which included bringing major water and green energy infrastructure projects to local communities.

Paulina earned a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational and Corporate Communication and a Master of Public Administration with a concentration in Public Policy and Management, both from The Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é of Texas at El Paso. Paulina also has achieved completion of Cornell Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é’s Project Management certificate.

Paulina has served on numerous boards benefiting El Pasoans throughout the region, including the YWCA Paso del Norte, United Way Young Leaders, Women’s Fund of El Paso, and most recently as one of the founding members of the Underserved Communities Foundation.
