End-of-Year Giving
You can help students in need.
Earlier this year, when all instruction at UTEP switched to online learning in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, Stephanie, a digital production major, worried that without access to her department’s media labs, she would not be able graduate on time in December. A personal computer was all that stood between Stephanie and her degree.
That is why I am writing you today. In a year without compare, 2020 reminds us how unforeseen events can disrupt the best laid plans. It is in moments like these that we take care of each other, knowing that one unforeseen expense can disrupt a life, like when a student must choose between technology and utilities.
Fortunately for Stephanie, UTEP established the for situations just like these. In addition to helping students make the transition to online learning, the fund supports students with onetime grants to make a utility payment, put food on the table, or access reliable transportation.
Since its inception earlier this year, friends of UTEP, like you, have contributed over $170,000 to the —and every single dollar has gone to a student in need.
Give today to ensure students success by meeting pressing needs that could derail promising futures.
Sincerely,
Heather Wilson
President
P.S. Don’t forget that your gift today makes an excellent end-of-year contribution.
