What is Preparing Future Faculty?
Dive into a realm of professional growth and development tailored for graduate students eager to excel in post-secondary teaching and learning. From a dynamic micro-credential in (PAL) to live faculty observations, this program immerses you in evidence-based practices, and empowers you to shape the future of education. InSPIRE, in collaboration with the UTEP Graduate School, is pleased to invite you to participate in this campus initiative.
The Preparing Future Faculty program can be completed in as little as one academic year (9 months) at no cost to you.
If you join the program, you will have an opportunity to learn about and reflect on best principles and approaches for advancing undergraduate student learning and success. Through completion of the following milestones, you will be awarded a certificate of completion:
The only requirement that must be done this fall is completion of the ACUE PAL micro-credentialing course. All other requirements can be completed at your convenience prior to graduation; these include:
*Sponsored by InSPIRE or hosted by an external entity focused on college teaching and learning (schedules and opportunities will be provided).
Once you sign up, you will be added to a Blackboard shell created explicitly for the PFF program, which is where you will upload any required documents and can track your progress toward program completion This is also where you can reach out to fellow PFF members, follow discussion boards, and receive feedback from course facilitators.

*The InSPIRE fall teaching and learning conference is a great place to attend multiple workshops.
You will be automatically enrolled in the PAL course, so please be on the lookout for communication from staff at ACUE (Association of College & Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é Educators).
As part of the application process, a letter of support is required from your primary research advisor/mentor indicating their awareness of your participation in the Preparing Future Faculty program.
