Teaching Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é Academy (TOA)
The Office of the Provost requires instructors at UTEP to complete the Teaching Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é Academy (TOA) prior to teaching an online course. The TOA focuses on the delivery of online course content, the uniqueness of online pedagogy, and online teaching methods. True learning takes place in discussions with fellow faculty members, as well as the construction of an online syllabus and course calendar. This course allows the participant to learn from both facilitators and peers, in relation to best practices and "what not to do” in some cases. This asynchronous course is completely online and follows a weekly schedule. |
