Joint Creation Ownership Agreement (JCOA) and Copyright Release Statement
The Joint Creation Ownership Agreement (JCOA) supports the Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é Course Development Agreement at UTEP.
What is the difference between the Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é Course Development Agreement and the Copyright Release Statement?
Faculty members must complete the Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é Course Development Agreement when developing a new or redesigned online course in collaboration with the Center for Instructional Design. This acknowledges that the faculty member and the university have joint ownership of the online course.
Faculty members who intend to copy course content from a previous course that is not their own must request a from the original course builder. This ensures that the faculty who developed the course provides their consent for the course to be copied.
