73% of Corporate Academy students land full-time jobs upon graduation, a testament to UTEP’s commitment to practical, career-focused education. Hunt College and its partners merge interactive learning with industry engagement, equipping BBA students with the tools and networks to navigate a global market.
Supported by significant contributions from regional/national banks and financial institutions, the new Banking Academy seeks to address the shortage of banking professionals in the West Texas and Southern New Mexico region. The Banking Academy integrates specialized courses, industry-specific technologies, and co-curricular activities for students.
The Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) certificate program offers students an application-oriented view of ERP systems, incorporating the world’s leading ERP business software, SAP. Through the Academy, students are actively coached and mentored by leaders from Lockheed Martin and Microsoft, they participate in corporate site visits, and they receive extensive support in the job and internship search process.
The Human Capital Management (HCM) certificate program offers students a broad and application-oriented view of HCM. As part of the Academy experience, students begin to make linkages between what they are learning in the classroom and the challenges they will face in the workplace. Academy members interact with professionals in the field and gain knowledge of current work practices and company culture.
The Risk Management concentration at the Woody L. Hunt College of Business is heavily quantitative and includes calculus, probability theory, statistics, finance, economics, and business analytics. Students will also receive business and interpersonal skills that will be developed through executive visits, professional workshops, interactions with other universities.
