Jobs:
- Associate Crime Analyst - El Paso Police Department, tactical and strategic analysis through investigative support, report writing, data and intelligence collection. Responsibilities included production of products for officer awareness or reports for executive level leaders.
- Research Assistance - El Paso Department of Public Health, provided analytic support for the federally funded Medicaid Waiver Program. Analytic support assured compliance with the terms of the funding and required semi-annual reporting. I also provided data collection and management support for emergency mass tuberculosis exposure response to include the nation's largest nursery exposure where more than 700 newborns were potentially exposed.

How has the MA in Sociology program prepared you? Yes, the writing and analysis skills have prepared me for the tasks I've been asked to do since graduating.

Future Goals: I would like to work with the city to restructure the Crime Analysis Unit and the Research and Planning Unit that currently exists within the police department to improve coverage and clarify roles.
