Internships: Yes, I was a teaching assistant to Dr. Luykx and Dr. Morales and I was the only graduate student that was a part of Opportunity Nation, a bipartisan Think Tank that used scholars and leaders to address social inequality
Post MA in Sociology
PhD Program: I am attending Texas A&M Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é getting my PhD in sociology. I received a university wide Diversity Fellowship for 3 years and department funding for 2 more. I won dissertation grants from Women and Gender Studies and the School of Liberal Arts as well as training grants that sent me to Northeastern Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é to learn complex analytical methods on LGBT Health, and travel funds to attend conferences from my department. I am building on my master's thesis for my dissertation by adding quantitative and content analysis to my qualitative interviews.

How has the MA in Sociology program prepared you? It helped me snag a huge Diversity Fellowship at TAMU and made me extremely competitive for grants. It also helped me excel with publications and made it possible for me to teach earlier.
