Dr. Rebecca Reid
Dr. Rebecca A. Reid is an Associate Professor of Political Science in the Department of Political Science and Public Administration at the Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é of Texas at El Paso. She holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from the Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é of South Carolina. Her research focuses on judicial politics, comparative courts, international law, human rights, indigenous law, judicial independence, and the rule of law. Her primary avenues of research include how courts and judges make decisions, the impact of these decisions on the rule of law and human rights, and the development and interaction of laws across international and domestic spheres. Her teaching interests include public law, judicial politics, international law, constitutional law and civil liberties, international and comparative courts, Indigenous law and politics, and research methods at the graduate and undergraduate levels. She currently serves as the Director of Graduate Studies.
