Dr. Todd Curry
Dr. Todd A. Curry is an associate professor in the Political Science Department. He received his Ph.D from Western Michigan Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é in 2012. His primary area of research examines how the methods of selection and retention used to staff State Courts of Last Resort interact with judicial behavior. Specifically, Dr. Curry examines if the various methods of selection have predictable effects on things such as tenure, judicial opinions, and the representative nature of State Supreme Court justices. His work has been published in The Journal of Politics, PS: Political Science & Politics, Justice System Journal, and the Journal of Information Technology & Politics, among others. His book with Michael K. Romano, , will be out in September 2019 with Routledge.
Dr. Curry teaches undergraduate classes in constitutional law, judicial politics and research methods, as well as graduate courses in judicial politics and quantitative methods. He serves as the Director of Undergraduate Studies in Political Science.
