UTEP Choirs
Choral Ensembles at UTEP provide opportunities for all students on campus to participate in outstanding vocal organizations. Interested singers can choose from non-auditioned and auditioned choirs, each providing numerous performance experiences on- and off-campus throughout the academic year.
Concert Chorale
The Concert Chorale is the premier choral ensemble at The Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é of Texas at El Paso. Singing music of all styles, traditional and contemporary, this auditioned choral ensemble of talented singers pursues an advanced degree of performance quality, and appears regularly on campus and in the Southwest region, including annual collaborations with the El Paso Opera and the El Paso Symphony Orchestra, as well as invitations to perform with the Roswell Symphony Orchestra (NM). The Concert Chorale has been active in commissioning new works, especially featuring local and regional composers, and works for mixed choir and trombone ensemble. Members of the Concert Chorale perform in residency biennially with the prestigious Leeds (St. Anne’s) Cathedral choirs in Leeds, England, and have appeared with the UTEP Trombone Choir at the Big 12 Trombone Conference (2019) and the Texas Music Educators Association State Clinic/Convention (2021). Next season, the choir presents the world premiere of the El Paso Requiem by Jorge Martin with the El Paso Symphony Orchestra and an original work by the innovative ensemble 9 Horses. Singers of all academic disciplines are encouraged to audition by appointment.

Chamber Singers
Open to all Concert Chorale members, the Chamber Singers is a small, select ensemble specializing in choral chamber music of all historical time periods and vocal genres, including contemporary music. Ambassadors for the Department of Music, the Chamber Singers perform regularly on campus, locally, and regionally; additionally, the ensemble travels biannually to Leeds, England, to perform as choir-in-residence at Leeds Cathedral.
Dr. Elisa Fraser Wilson is the director.
Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é Chorus
The Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é Chorus consists of nearly 100 enthusiastic men and women of many academic disciplines who love to sing music of all historical periods and musical genres. Regularly appearing separately in concerts in UTEP’s Fox Fine Arts Recital Hall, including our popular Holiday Revels concert series, the groups come together annually with alumni and community singers to perform masterworks with the El Paso Symphony Orchestra. No audition is required for the Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é Chorus, and all interested UTEP students (from any major) are encouraged to sing with this ensemble.
