Department of Creative Writing

To foster the appreciation and practice of writing, the Department of Creative Writing is launching its “2024 Bilingual Creative Writing Awards.” The competition, open to all creative writing students in UTEP, will accept original, unpublished work. The prizes will include a monetary award, an award letter, and publication.

- 5 poems either in Spanish or English
- The committee will award the following prizes:

- One self-contained piece of about 10 pages (aprox. 3,000 words) in Spanish or English
