New Hire Questions
How do I schedule an I-9 appointment
To schedule a virtual appointment for submitting your I-9 items, please click . For in-person submissions, no appointment is necessary, but please keep in mind that visitors will be assisted in the order of their arrival.
How long does it take to receive my Employee ID (600#)?
Upon receiving the "Pre-Hire Process Completed" email, please note that it may take up to 72 business hours for your Employee ID to be generated. It's important to be aware that UTEP employees cannot commence work until they have received their Employee ID.
Why cant I login to PeopleSoft?
There are likely three reasons why you cannot access your account:

Appointment Clearance:
- Your appointment may not have cleared yet. For updates regarding your appointment, please contact your hiring department.

DUO Authentication Registration:
- You may not have registered for DUO Authentication. To register, please click [here](link to DUO registration).

Incorrect Login Credentials:
- You might be using incorrect login credentials. For the first-time login into your PeopleSoft account, use the initial credentials generated by the Helpdesk (room 300 in the library, helpdesk@utep.edu, or 915-747-4357).
When can I access my onboarding module?
To access your onboarding module, please note that your appointment and PeopleSoft access must already be active. You will receive an email notification once your module has been assigned, but it typically takes between 1-2 weeks after your activation in UTEP's employee database for the module to be assigned to you. Keep an eye on your email for updates on your onboarding process.
Rehire Questions
When can I access my PeopleSoft account?
Your PeopleSoft access will be reinstated once your appointment action request has been cleared. For updates on the status of your appointment, please contact your hiring department. They will be able to provide you with the necessary information regarding the resolution of your appointment action request and the subsequent restoration of your PeopleSoft access.
No, you will continue to utilize the Employee ID assigned to you during your initial onboarding. There's no need for a new ID in this context.
Your start date will vary based upon when you submit all of your rehire paperwork and communicate with your hiring department. The timeline for processing and finalizing your rehire will be influenced by the efficiency of these processes.
Will I need to make new benefits selections?
Due to the break in coverage, you are required to make new selections for your benefits plan. For more information, please contact Benefits@utep.edu via email. They will be able to provide you with the necessary details and guide you through the process of selecting your benefits.
Glacier Tax Form
How do I access the Glacier tax form?
To obtain access to the Glacier tax form, kindly reach out to HROnboarding@utep.edu.
Can HR or Payroll tell me how to fill out the Glacier?
Neither HR nor Payroll is authorized to provide guidance on how to fill out your Glacier tax form. For any questions related to completing the form, please reach out to Glacier's support team at support@online-tax.net. They will be able to assist you with specific inquiries and ensure that the tax form is accurately filled out.

How do I obtain an employment verification letter?

Work documents, also known as I-9 documents, are the documentation that employees present to their employer to verify their identity and authorization to work. For international hires, the following work documents are required:
