CyberPatriot Competition
CyberPatriot is the Air Force Association's National Youth Cyber Education Program, created to inspire K-12 students toward careers in cybersecurity or other science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) disciplines critical to our nation's future.
National Youth Cyber Defense Competition
The National Youth Cyber Defense Competition puts teams of high school and middle school students in the position of newly hired IT professionals tasked with managing the network of a small company. Through a series of online competition rounds, teams are given a set of virtual operating systems and are tasked with finding and fixing cybersecurity vulnerabilities while maintaining critical services. Students compete for national recognition and scholarship opportunities.
UTEP will create the competing teams and assign each middle/high school student on a team. Teams will be made up of at 2-5 players and all within their respective middle/high school, if possible. Each team will be assigned a Coach, a (UTEP/EPCC) student, and will meet at least once a week, either in-person or virtually.

The PeopleFacts background check, initiated by CyberPatriot, will be sent to the CyberPatriot office within 48-72 hours.
