This program is formed by the Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é of Texas Health Science Center at Houston School of Dentistry (UTSD-Houston) partnered with seven institutions including UTEP to offer the Dental Early Acceptance Program.

The EAP Program offers highly qualified students with an interest in dentistry, who through personal experiences have demonstrated the ability to overcome adverse or disadvantaged circumstances, the opportunity to be considered to receive early acceptance into UTSD-Houston.

When to apply: Applications from individuals are accepted through the Health Professions Advisors on the campuses after completion of the spring semester of the first year of enrollment.

Application Requirements

• Enrolled at UTEP as a first-time college student

  • Transfer students are not eligible

  • Students must have enrolled as a full-time student at UTEP no later than the first fall semester after high school graduation

• Cumulative GPA of 3.5 or above

• Competitive SAT and/or ACT

• Applicants must be US citizens with Texas resident status or US permanent residents with Texas resident status

To Apply You Will Need:

1. A Completed Application Form
2. Personal Statement - not to exceed 5000 characters (including spaces)
3. High School Transcript 
4. SAT or ACT scores
5. Letter of Recommendation from your Health Profession Advisor - Dr. Gail Arnold
6. Letter of Recommendation from a Practicing Dentist
