Computing resources include the Bioinformatics Computing Lab and the Visualization Wall
Faculty hold diverse research interests that touch industries including aerospace, finance, geoscience and bioscience
Jonathon Mohl enrolled in the Computational Science Ph.D. program to build upon and advance his background in microbiology and bioinformatics. Throughout his time in the program, he co-authored multiple academic papers and worked in UTEP's Border Biomedical Research Center. The diversity of experiences that Jonathon capitalized upon gave him a breadth and depth of knowledge that he now applies as an assistant professor of mathematical sciences at UTEP.
Graduates of doctoral computational science programs go on to have a wide range of careers, working in industries like electrical and computer engineering, computer science, and aerospace and environmental sciences.
