UTEP’s Master of Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling program is for individuals who want to help people of all ages with mental, physical, emotional, cognitive or developmental disabilities to achieve more fulfilling lives. Coursework, field experiences and extracurricular opportunities provide graduates with a strong foundation in the philosophy, process and profession of rehabilitation counseling.

Possibly dual credentials as Certified Rehabilitation/Licensed Professional counselors
Omar Gonzalez is an El Paso native and a 100% VA disabled Navy retiree. The former NCO pursued this degree to help people with disabilities to live independently. He praised the program’s instructors, whose knowledge and real-world experiences augmented the curricula. Omar plans to work with the veteran community after he earns his degree and rehab counselor certification.
MCRC graduates are in demand among rehabilitation agencies in the region, the state and across the country. The agencies include CIGNA Corp., the Texas Division of Assistive and Rehabilitative Services and the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs.
