William A. Taylor is the Lee Drain Endowed Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é Professor of global security studies and previous department chair at Angelo State Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é in San Angelo, Texas. Taylor is the series editor for two book series, Studies in Civil-Military Relations with the Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é Press of Kansas and Studies in Marine Corps History and Amphibious Warfare with the Naval Institute Press. He is the author or editor of seven books, including most recently Peace, War, and Partnership: Congress and the Military since World War II (College Station: Texas A&M Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é Press, 2023); The All-Volunteer Force: Fifty Years of Service (Lawrence: Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é Press of Kansas, 2023); and The Advent of the All-Volunteer Force: Protecting Free Society (New York: Routledge, 2023).
