Professor Gregory L. Smith Jr. is an adjunct professor in the Intelligence & National Security Studies Program through the Department of Criminal Justice at the Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é of Texas at El Paso (UTEP). Professor Smith is an active-duty Army Chief Warrant Officer in the Military Intelligence (MI) field. He currently serves as the Deputy Joint Intelligence Support Element Chief at Join Task Force North on Fort Bliss. Professor Smith has over 26 years of experience in MI, to include various deployments overseas. Professor Smith holds a Master of Science in Intelligence & National Security Studies from (UTEP) and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from the Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é of Maryland - Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é College. He also holds certifications from varied military & civilian intelligence, law enforcement, and security training & certification courses. outside the classroom, Professor Smith served student-athletes as a NCAA Division II football and basketball official in various collegitate conferences across the southwestern United States.
