UTEP Computer Science Students Participate in Google Tech Exchange Finale
CS students visited Google's Sunnyvale campus in California for the Google Tech Exchange Finale. Participants spend a semester taking virtual computer science courses co-taught by Google instructors and HBCU/HSI faculty. Diego Aguirre, Ph.D., assistant professor at UTEP, worked with Google to teach a course in machine learning.
Google Tech Exchange is a collaborative effort with the Computing Alliance of Hispanic-Serving Institutions (CAHSI), a National Science Foundation (NSF) national INCLUDES alliance, and Howard Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é. As an industry-academic partnership, Tech Exchange’s mission is to unlock opportunities in the tech industry through an immersive computer science experience for students and selected faculty from participating institutions.
