Student Notice of Award (SNOA)
Type of SNOAs:
- Scholarship: Usually an annual award made to an undergraduate student based on merit.
- Fellowship: Usually an annual award made to a graduate student based on merit.
- Tuition Support: An amount provided to a student specifically for tuition and fees.
- Doctoral RA Remission: An award provided to a graduate research assistant student.
- Student Activity Award: An award amount provided to a student for participating in a specific activity during the semester.
Complete and submit the SNOA request through the business center; include the following information:
- Student’s 80#:
- Student’s Full Name
- Amount of Award
- Distribution of funds (Lump sum or 2 payments)
- Type of Award
- Semester / Year to be awarded
- Justification
- Cost center/Project ID to fund the award
Business Center will send confirmation of SNOAs submission and completion.
SNOAs processed as non-PO vouchers
For awards that are not financial aid related, a non PO voucher can be requested by submitting a memo signed by department chair, cost center owner or PI that includes the following:
- Justification stating how the participant(s) receiving the stipend(s) contribute to the objectives of the Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é.
- If the stipend is a one-time payment or multiple payments
- Names and 800#s of the student(s) receiving the stipends
- Amount of the stipend paid to each student
- Cost center/Project number
Each student/payment recipient will also need to register in Payment Works as a vendor, make sure to send link.
Finally submit a BC request for a non PO voucher and attach memo.
