Meet the Interns
"I'm a work-study at the Centennial Museum and Chihuahuan Desert Gardens. I'm currently the WebMaster of the Centennial Museum's website alongside one of the curators, Fayelee Overman. I mainly work on updating the website with new exhibits presented or new events in the Museum."
“As an intern my job is to share Insights Science and Discovery activities through social media. Along my internship at Insights I have had the opportunity to work with experts on the science educative field planning ways to reach more people and create activities that can inspire young generations in all science fields.”
“My name is Sirena and my major is in Psychology. I am a Junior at UTEP and at my job I contact people in the elderly Community to ensure that they are receiving their free meals at home and helping them out with any other questions and concerns that they may have.”
“I’m majoring in Aerospace & Aeronautical Engineering, and I am a first year freshman at UTEP. My job position is a FIRST Robotics Coordinator, what I do at my job varies quite a bit, but it can range from coordinating FIRST Robotics competitions, the logistics and planning of such events, communication with local K-12 Schools & Teams, providing tours and information to local incoming high school students for the engineering department, and outreach events showcasing robotics and programs UTEP has to offer.”
“My major is Economics, I am a freshman, and at my work in CASS I keep updated records on notetakers and supervise them uploading notes as well as assisting with budget management records.”
“I am a senior graphic design major and my title for NAMI EP is Communication / Public relations intern I work on development and marketing like doing stuff like creating social media post to creating logos and such.”
“What I do is that I am a assistant curator for the UTEP Biodiversity Department and I also help manage their social media. As well as come up with new ideas to spread awareness of them to the public.”
